Day 01 : HANOI - ARRIVING
Arrive in Hanoi and make your own way to the hotel.  Meet your Tour Leader/Guide in the hotel lobby at 6pm for talks and giving information on what you can do in Hanoi. He will help you to check your travel documents for visas including your travel insurance document, give you the complete itinerary of your travels in the Mekong region countries and Southeast Asia before recommending to you a local restaurant for your own dinner where more information could be gleaned from him.
Overnight at Camillia 2 Hotel, 13 Luong Ngoc Quyen, Hanoi

DAY 02 : HANOI  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  Meet your T/L at breakfast time for talks and information. T/L will take you on an orientation walk around the vicinity of your hotel to get you familiarized with your surroundings and a walking tour of the Old Quarter.
Meeting of T/L with group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and go to a restaurant for dinner together at your own expense.
Overnight at Camillia 2 Hotel, Hanoi  

Day 03 : HANOI - HUE  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room. He will be around to give you any assistance that you might need. (Optional tour).
At 17.00 pm you will be picked up at the hotel for transfer to Hanoi's railway station to board the train to Hue, departing at 19.00pm, with your T/L accompanying you on the train.
Overnight in Soft Sleeper Class on the train.

DAY 04 : HUE  (Breakfast)

Arrive in Hue train station at about 08.37am.  Your T/L will transfer you to your hotel and help you check-in.  While checking in get information from him about what you can do in Hue. Take a familiarization walk with your T/L in the area of your hotel. Hue was once the imperial capital of Vietnam established by Emperor Gia Long who founded the Nguyen dynasty. Very little of the imperial Citadel remains but what there is of the Purple Forbidden City still impresses.(Optional tour).
Meeting of T/L with group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and go to a restaurant for dinner together at your own expense.
Overnight at Binh Minh 1 Hotel, 12 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Hue

Day 05 : HUE  - TOUR  (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room for talks. He will take you on a city tour to see the sights of this former imperial city – the Citadel built by Emperor Gia Long in 1804 according to Feng Shui geomancy, go on a boat cruise of the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda on a low hill and visit the mausoleums of the Nguyen emperors along the river bank.  Return to Hue and be at leisure.
Meet in the lobby at 7pm and T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense).
Overnight in Binh Minh 1 Hotel, Hue

Day 06 : HUE - HOI  AN   (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. At 8am transfer to Hoi An by road about 4 hours.
The road to Hoi An takes us through the city of Danang, before a climb over the hills. The scene from the top of the Hai Van Pass is one of the most impressive panoramic scenes in Vietnam, with views over China Beach and Lang Co Beach. In Danang city, we visit the Museum of Cham Sculpture (entrance fee included). Upon arrival in Hoi An, your T/L will check you into your hotel.  Meeting of T/L with group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and go to a restaurant for dinner together at your own expense.
Overnight at Vinh Hung 3 Hotel, Trung Nhi St., Hoi An.

Day 07 : HOI AN   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room. Go on a walking tour of the ancient city of Hoi An. Meeting of T/L with the group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information, and then T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense).
Overnight at Vinh Hung 3 Hotel, Hoi An

Day 08 : HOI AN - DANANG - TRAIN TO NHA TRANG (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room. At 8am your T/L will pick up group at the hotel lobby to transfer to Danang's railway station for the Train # SE1 to Nha Trang, departing at 11.40am. Arriving in Nha Trang at 21.52 pm transfer to hotel for check in.
Overnight at Sea View Hotel, 4B Biet Thu St., Nha Trang 

Day 09 : NHA TRANG   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room for talks. (Optional tour). Meeting of T/L with the group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information, and then T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense).
Overnight at Sea View Hotel, Nha Trang

Day 10 : NHA TRANG   (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room for talks. (Optional tour). Meeting of T/L with the group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information, and then T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense).

Day 11 : NHA TRANG - TRAIN TO SAIGON  (Breakfast) 
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room. Free time until 10.00 am when you will be picked up at the hotel lobby to transfer to Nha Trang's railway station for the Train # SE5 to Saigon, departing at 12.37am. Arriving in Saigon at 8 pm transfer to hotel for check in.

DAY 12 : SAIGON - CU CHI TUNNELS TOUR (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room for talks.
At 1pm go with him to a restaurant for your own lunch if you wish. He will then take you on a tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing network of passageways used to sabotage the American occupation of Saigon. (Entrance fee and transportation are included.)

DAY 13 : SAIGON   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room.
He will be around to give you any help you may require.

Overnight at Hai Long 2 Hotel, Saigon

DAY 14 : SAIGON - PHNOM PENH   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  At 8-8.30am your T/L will transfer you to the Sapaco bus departing HCMC at 9am to Phnom Penh accompanied by your Cambodian T/L to see you through the border, a drive of about 6 hours through some of the remote parts of the Delta region.  The bus will drop you off at the hotel if possible but if not then your T/L will take you from the bus station to the hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be checked in by your Cambodian T/L.  He will talk to you giving you information and tell you about what optional tours you can do in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Then show you a restaurant where you can get a good meal.

DAY 15 : PHNOM PENH  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room at breakfast time for talks and giving information. He will be around in case you need help.  (Optional tour). Meeting of T/L with the group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information, and then T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense).

DAY 16 : PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  At 7.30am transfer by public bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap departing at 8am with your T/L accompanying you.  Upon arrival in Siem Reap, transfer from bus station to hotel in a private coach and T/L helps you to check-in. Meeting of T/L with the group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information, and then T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense).

DAY 17 : SIEM REAP  - ANGKOR TEMPLE TOUR (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L in the breakfast room. Morning tour of the Angkor Temple Complex visiting Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat. In the evening climb up Bakheng Temple to watch the sun set on Angkor Wat. T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense) in the Old Market-Pub Street area.  Walk back to your hotel nearby.

DAY 18 : SIEM REAP  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  Meet your T/L in the breakfast room. (Optional tour). Meeting of T/L with the group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information, and then T/L will take you to a restaurant for your own dinner (at your own expense).
Overnight at Claremont Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap.

DAY 19 : SIEM REAP - BANGKOK  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  Pick up at 7.30am to depart at 8am from your hotel on an adventurous journey to Poipet on the Cambodian-Thai border with private van/coach and driver accompanied by your T/L, a drive of 4 hours depending on road condition.  Cambodian T/L will assist you at immigration checkpoints and cross with you to the Thai side of the border to meet up with your Thai T/L who will escort you on the 4-hour trip to Bangkok in a bus (Sit-in-Coach basis). Upon arrival at your hotel T/L will check you in.  If your arrival is not too late, then meet your T/L at 6pm in the hotel lobby and be introduced to a restaurant for your own dinner.  If too late, he will see you at breakfast the next morning and provide you information on optional tours in Bangkok.

DAY 20 : BANGKOK - TOUR INCLUDED  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Others might join your group, arriving in Bangkok and making their own way to the Sawasdee Khaosan Inn. At 1pm your T/L will introduce a local restaurant for your lunch at your own expense. Then he will take you on a tour of the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew), Reclining Buddha Temple (Wat Po) and cross the Chao Phraya River by local ferry to visit the Temple of the Dawn) Wat Aroon) before crossing back to Bangkok to visit the National Museum before returning to your hotel. (All entrance fees and boat fare are included.)
Meeting of group with Bangkok Tour Leader at 7pm in hotel lobby for talks and giving you information. Then go to a restaurant for dinner together at your own expense.

DAY 21 : BANGKOK - KANCHANABURI  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  T/L will transfer group to Kanchanaburi by road about 3 hours.  Arriving in Kanchanaburi your T/L will help you to check-in at the hotel and provide you information while making an orientation walk with you in the area to get you familiarized with the vicinity. (Optional tour.) Meeting of T/L and group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information to group, then he will take you to a restaurant for dinner at your own expense.

DAY 22 : KANCHANABURI  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  Meet T/L at breakfast for talks. (Optional tour.)

Overnight at River Kwai Hotel, Kanchanaburi

DAY 23 : KANCHANABURI - AYUTTHAYA (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Ayutthaya by road about 4 hours. Situated 80 kilometres north of Bangkok, Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767 AD. In its prime it was one of the largest and most glamorous cities in the world and the capital city of the then huge Siamese empire that included large parts of Laos, Cambodia, Burma and the Malay Peninsula. Following a siege of nearly two years, the city suffered total destruction at the hands of the Burmese and left in ruins. Arriving in Ayutthaya your T/L will help you to check-in at the hotel, and talk to you. (Optional tour.)

DAY 24 : AYUTTHAYA - PHITSANULOK- SUKHOTHAI  (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  At about 9am (time to be ascertained), your T/L will transfer you to the railway station to board the DRC train #9 to Phitsanulok, departing at 09.42am.  Arrive at Phitsanulok railway station about 13.19 pm.  Your T/Lwill take you to old Sukhothai and check you into your hotel.  (Optional tour.)
Meeting of T/L and group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information to group.  Dinner can be in this hotel's restaurant or an outside restaurant at your own expense.

DAY 25 : SUKHOTHAI  (Breakfast)

DAY 26 : SUKHOTHAI - LAMPANG- CHIANG MAI   (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel.  At 8am transfer to Lampang about 4 hours. Lampang is famous for its elephant training and conservation centre and the venerable Phrathat Luang Lampang. From Lampang to Chiang Mai is about 2 hours. Arriving in Chiang Mai your T/L will help you to check-in at the hotel. Meeting of T/L and group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information to group, then he will take you to a restaurant for dinner at your own expense.

DAY 29 : CHIANG MAI - CHIANG RAI (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  At 8 am transfer to Chiang Rai about 3 hours drive through teak forests, up mountains and down valleys passing provincial towns and villages. Arriving in Chiang Rai your T/L will help you to check-in at the hotel and talk to you. (Optional tour) Meeting of T/L and group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks and giving information to group, then he will take you to a restaurant for dinner at your own expense.

DAY 30:   CHIANG RAI – TOUR   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet your T/L for talks in the hotel lobby and go for a tour up the river to visit some hill tribe villages.  Walk to the boat jetty to board a long-tail boat to cruise up the Kok River visiting a Karen village where you can ride an elephant by paying a small charge and a Lahu hill tribe village.  Go with T/L to downtown Chiang Rai for a walkabout to get familiarized with this small town.  Visit Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Phra Singh, the two major temples and monastic school, see the huge day market and browse about at the Night Market. Return to your hotel nearby.

DAY 31 :  CHIANG RAI - LUANG PRABANG
At 7am transfer to Chiang Khong with your T/L, a 2-hour drive through lovely scenery, here to do the immigration formalities for crossing the border into Huay Xai (Laos). After clearance at Lao immigration (visa-on-arrival fee is US$30), transfer to the fast boat landing. Excursion by speedboat down the Mekong River to Luang Prabang, arriving in Luang Prabang jetty at about 5pm, and transfer to hotel. T/L will help you check-in and talk to you giving you information.  Go to a restaurant together with T/L at your own expense. Stroll along the very interesting main street of Thanon Sisavangvong with your T/L, and browse in the Hmong night market.
Overnight at Udomsuk Guesthouse or similar, Luang Prabang.

DAY 32:  LUANG PRABANG – SIGHTSEEING TOUR   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  Meet T/L at breakfast time for talks, followed by a morning walking tour of this heritage town – to the former royal palace, typical Lao temples including the Watermelon Temple and the best of them all, Wat Xieng Thong. (All entrance fees included.)  We end this morning’s tour of Luang Prabang in the main street of Thanon Sisavangvong where there are many cafes and restaurants with roadside stalls selling baquette sandwiches and French-type pastries.  Free at your own leisure in the afternoon.  Meeting of T/L with group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks, and go to a restaurant for dinner together at your own expense.
Overnight at Udomsuk Guesthouse or similar, Luang Prabang.

DAY 33:    LUANG PRABANG  (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel.  Meet T/L at breakfast time for talks.
(Optional tour by boat to cruise up the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Caves and visit the whisky-distilling village of Ban Xiang Hai to see the best whisky being made and the embroidery works of the villagers before returning to Luang Prabang.)
Meeting of T/L with group at 6pm in the hotel lobby for talks, and go to a restaurant for dinner together at your own expense.

DAY 34 : LUANG PRABANG - VANG VIENG (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel.  Depart with your T/L at 9.30am on the public bus to Vang Vieng through fantastic countryside.  Arrive in Vang Vieng, transfer to hotel and be at leisure.  T/L will check you in. Meet the T/L in the hotel lobby at 6pm for talks and go for an evening meal in a restaurant together.

DAY 35 : VANG VIENG   (Breakfast)

DAY 36 : VANG VIENG    (Breakfast)

Overnight at Dokkhun 1 Guesthouse, Vang Vieng.

DAY 37 : VANG VIENG - VIENTIANE   (Breakfast)
Breakfast at the hotel.  Morning departure at 9.30am with your T/L to the bus station to board the 10am bus to Vientiane.  Upon arrival in Vientiane, transfer to hotel.  T/L will check you into hotel and introduce you to a Lao herbal sauna (US$1 entrance) and Lao massage (US$3 per hour) if you like.
Meet T/L in hotel lobby at 6pm for talks and go to dinner with him.
Overnight at Malinamphu Guesthouse (Tel. 856-21-215093), 114 Pangkham Road, Vientiane.

DAY 38 : VIENTIANE - NONG KHAI -    (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel.  T/L will take you by tuk-tuk on a morning tour of Vientiane visiting the Haw Pha Kaew, Wat Si Saket, Patuxai. At 13.00 pm transfer to the Friendship Bridge spanning Laos and Thailand. T/L will take you across to Nong Khai and transfer to the railway station later on. Board the night express train #69 to Bangkok accompanied by your T/L, departing at 19:40pm.
Overnight on train in 2nd Class air-conditioned berth.  

DAY 39: BANGKOK   (Breakfast)
Arrive in Bangkok at about 6am and be transferred by taxi to the hotel. T/L will help you check-in and talk to you about what you can do in Bangkok.

DAY 40: BANGKOK - DEPARTURE  (Breakfast)
